The HIKMICRO HM-TJ12-3ARF-Mini2 (Mini2) is an ultra-compact, featherweight thermographic smartphone module engineered to convert compatible Android devices into high-resolution, on-the-go diagnostic systems. It features an upgraded 256 × 192 resolution (49,152 pixels) VOx thermal sensor paired with a fixed 3.5mm thermal lens to capture crisp, detailed heat signatures over larger areas than its predecessor. Operating via a native USB Type-C interface, the 20-gram plug-and-play module connects directly to a functional smartphone thermal application to stream real-time, bi-spectrum image fusion, picture-in-picture previews, and smooth video capturing. The module provides highly reliable field data with an accuracy rating of ±2 °C across a -20 °C to 100 °C range, transitioning to ±2% for high-temperature spikes up to 400 °C, and includes automatic hot, cold, and custom center-spot tracking alerts. Relying on advanced processing algorithms like DDE, 3D DNR, and self-adaptive AGC, this pocket-sized device gives facility managers, HVAC technicians, and building inspectors immediate visual insights into hidden thermal anomalies.
