The Hikvision DS-KD8003-IME1(B)/Surface is a surface-mounting version of the foundational master controller unit for the KD8 Series Pro Modular Door Station line, packaged with an on-wall frame that bolts directly to exterior surfaces to eliminate the need for cutting deep wall cavities. It serves as the central master brain that powers and routes data to all connected sub-modules, while incorporating an ultra-wide 2 MP fisheye camera with infrared night vision for full-coverage 24/7 surveillance and a single physical call button for direct visitor dialing. Built for rapid, rugged external installation, this IP65-rated weatherproof unit supports standard PoE for single-cable deployment, independently manages dual entry-lock relays, directly supplies a 12V DC (500 mA) power output to run a local door strike without an auxiliary power supply, and features comprehensive remote configuration via a web browser.
