The Hikvision AE-MN5043(M12) is a professional-grade, fanless 4-channel mobile network video recorder (NVR) engineered for reliable IP surveillance and satellite vehicle tracking across transit buses, trucks, and school buses. Enclosed in a rugged aluminum die-cast chassis, it natively powers 4 IP network cameras up to 5 MP resolution via integrated Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) interfaces and can expand to support 4 additional IP cameras through an external PoE switch. Built to safeguard recordings against extreme road conditions, it features pluggable dual 2.5-inch bays for up to 4 TB of total SSD/HDD storage inside an integrated vibration absorber, reinforced by a built-in super-capacitor and power-off protection to prevent file corruption during sudden vehicle electrical failures. The device features wide +9 to +32 VDC power inputs, embedded software firewalls, telemetry interfaces to log physical vehicle actions (such as braking and turn indicators) directly into the video stream, and pluggable 4G/Wi-Fi modules coupled with standard GPS/GLONASS mapping for real-time fleet dispatch streaming.
