The DS-K1107AM and DS-K1107AMK are compact, high-speed smart card readers manufactured by Hikvision to provide secure physical credential validation at building entry points. Available in two distinct hardware variations—the DS-K1107AM which features a flat front panel without a physical keypad for badge-only entry, and the DS-K1107AMK which integrates a 12-key mechanical keyboard to support PIN or multi-factor authentication—both models share identical internal components driven by a powerful 32-bit high-speed processor. Each reader features an integrated 13.56 MHz MIFARE (M1) smart card module for instant verification, alongside a built-in status buzzer, an LED indicator array, and a self-repairing hardware watchdog circuit for long-term operational resilience. For robust field deployment, both units incorporate an optical tamper-proof alarm switch to detect physical vandalism and support flexible dual-protocol interfaces including traditional Wiegand (W26/W34), standard RS-485, and secure OSDP communication loops.
