The Hikvision AE-MD7083 is a heavy-duty, fanless 8-channel hybrid mobile video recorder (MDVR) built for transit systems, large fleets, and advanced AI safety auditing. Enclosed in a rugged aluminum die-cast chassis, it natively supports 8 analog HD cameras via aviation connectors and can expand to support 8 additional IP network cameras. Designed for data safety, the unit features dual 2.5-inch drive bays supporting up to 4 TB of SSD storage, a built-in super-capacitor to prevent corruption from sudden power drops, and a wide +9 VDC to +36 VDC power input. The system integrates GPS tracking, vehicle telemetry inputs (braking, turning, reversing), and modular 4G/Wi-Fi for remote streaming, while its powerful edge AI engine simultaneously runs ADAS road hazard alerts, DSM driver fatigue monitoring, DI facial identification, and BSD-R rear blind-spot detection.
