Description
The Hikvision DS-KD8003Y-IME2 is the foundational master control unit for Hikvision’s second-generation 2-Wire IP modular video intercom system. It integrates a high-definition 2 MP fisheye camera with a 146° wide viewing angle, an infrared night vision supplement, and a single physical call button into a durable, IP65-rated weatherproof housing. Powered directly by a 2-wire distributor hub (such as the DS-KAD706Y series), it functions as the central system brain that routes digital power and communication to up to 8 attached sub-modules (like keypads or card readers) over standard ribbon cables. Engineered to simplify building retrofits using legacy cables, this outdoor entrance station independently manages dual-lock relays, directly outputs 12V DC (500 mA) to power a local electronic lock without an extra power supply, and supports convenient remote system configuration via a web browser.
