The DS-K182HP is an ultra-compact, professional-grade proximity card reader manufactured by Hikvision as part of the Pyramid Proximity Series. Measuring just 43 mm × 81 mm × 18 mm (1.7" × 3.2" × 0.7") and weighing 85 grams, this miniature device features a narrow mullion-mount form factor optimized for installation directly onto metal door frames, window mullions, or flat perimeter walls. Operating at a low frequency of 125 KHz, it integrates Read-Range Boosting Technology to capture contactless RFID credentials up to 5 inches away, alongside an advanced MAXSecure feature to protect against unauthorized card cloning. Built for extreme environments, the electronics are completely sealed in weather-resistant epoxy potting to achieve an IP67 rating and survive temperatures from -40°C to 65°C.
