The DS-K1104M and DS-K1104MK are heavy-duty, enterprise-grade access control readers manufactured by Hikvision to provide physical credential validation in high-risk environments. Available in two distinct hardware configurations—the DS-K1104M which features a flat front panel without a physical keypad for badge-only entry, and the DS-K1104MK which integrates a mechanical keyboard for PIN or multi-factor authentication—both models are housed in a heavy-duty PC and zinc-alloy metal shell that achieves a maximum IK10 vandal-proof impact rating. Driven by a built-in 13.56 MHz MIFARE (M1) smart card reading module, each reader confirms successful badge reads via an audible status beeper and an LED indicator array, while incorporating a physical tamper-proof alarm switch to instantly signal the security system if the housing is unseated from the wall. For seamless field deployment, both units offer flexible upstream network integration by natively supporting traditional Wiegand and secure RS-485 serial communication interfaces.
